The 26th Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference, Hamburg, 3-5 September 2017
The Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference held its annual conference on 3-5 September 2017 in Hamburg. The Hamburg Parliament, the so-called Bürgerschaft, was host of this 26th BSPC under the chairmanship of the BSPC-President and President of the Hamburg Parliament, Carola Veit. Around 200 parliamentarians, experts and other invited guests participated in the conference.
The conference took place under the heading “Innovative Science, Sustainable Tourism – Participation and Cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region”.
In four thematic sessions, the parliamentarians were debating the state of the region, including “Cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region”, “Democratic Participation & the Digital Age”, “Science and Research” as well as „Sustainable Tourism” and also focused on the topic of the next BSPC Working Group “Migration and Integration”.
