The 27th Baltic Sea Parlimentary Conference Mariehamn 26-28 August 2018
The Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference will hold its annual conference on 26-28 August 2018 in Mariehamn. The Åland Lagtinget will be the host of this 27th BSPC under the chairmanship of the BSPC-President Jörgen Pettersson. Around 180 parliamentarians, experts and other invited guests will participate in the conference.
The conference will take place under the heading:
„The Baltic Sea – Our Lifeline
Cooperation, Sustainability and Smart Energy
–
Three pillars for future development.”
In three thematic sessions, the parliamentarians will debate the state of the region, including “Cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region”, “The Vision of a Healthy Baltic Sea – A Call for more Action” as well as „Sustainable Energy, Smart energy distribution platforms”. The conference will also focus on the topic of the BSPC Working Group “Migration and Integration” and the activities of the BSPC Rapporteurs.
